BodyJet is a new and unique alternative for bodysculpting and fat harvesting. It employs Water Assisted Liposuction (WAL) for a better overall result with less patient discomfort and less intra-operative tissue trauma. The Bodyjet uses a gentle pulsating spray of sterile saline (tumescent fluid) to loosen and dislodge adipocytes (fat tissues) without disrupting the functional tissue structures. The unique process mainly involves two phases. 1) Infiltration of analgesics and adrenaline- usually 50% of the infiltration volume and exposure time of conventional methods.
2)Simultaneous irrigation and aspiration-whereby fat cells are gently dislodged intact from their connective tissue and aspirated out through small customized cannulas (3.5mm). The pure fat is collected intact in a separate collector and is immediately available for transfer. The fat harvested from Bodyjet has been shown in studies to be 90% intact and viable making it of the highest quality of fat cells being processed by conventional methods. This high quality fat is the perfect candidate for any application where fat transfer may be indicated for long term cosmetic improvements.
Bodyjet can be used for harvesting fat for fat grafting in a simple and quick procedure and/or for complete bodysculpting of any desired area. When used for bodysculpting the results are more accurate because of the decreased post-op swelling due to almost all injected fluids being aspirated. This results in a reduced correction rate for the physician because of better intra-operative assessments.
